Year in Review: 2023

As 2023 draws to a close, I am reflecting on the year and the successes we have achieved at Veho Solutions, both as a business and team.

The year started strong, marking the third year of working with our Ambulance Trust clients. Veho played a pivotal role in supporting the NHS throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by supplying blue light drivers to Ambulance Trusts. We are delighted to continue this partnership to address seasonal demands.

In 2023, we saw a continued surge in demand for our ‘Chauffeur in your own car’ service, overcoming challenges faced during the pandemic. Clients’ growing preference for our Chauffeur-only service reflects an appreciation for the professional and personalised services we offer. The continued interest highlights the appeal of our service, which not only prioritises the convenience of chauffeur-driven experiences but also ensures a secure and tailored journey in the comfort of their own vehicle.

Our Veho Driver Team has seen substantial growth this year, now comprising over 300 drivers, predominantly former and ex-police from London and surrounding areas. Sadly, this autumn, we lost a cherished member of our driving team, Paul Groves, who passed away after a short illness. We had the pleasure of working with Paul on several events over the years. He was an incredibly warm, friendly, and popular member of our team. He will be deeply missed.

The Management Team expanded, with the addition of Nicol Meazzini as Marketing Executive. Drawing on extensive experience from prior positions in both agency and in-house marketing. Nicol has previously worked with Veho Solutions on compliance and events, namely the ATP World Tour Finals and The Open Championship assisting with Transport Logistics.

In the summer, the management team took a team-building trip to Alton Towers. This experience not only offered an enjoyable couple of days but also encouraged camaraderie among team members.

To round off the year, we hosted our annual Christmas parties at The Grange Café at Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. We extended a warm welcome not only to our dedicated driving team but also to their partners, for their understanding and support throughout the year, especially during challenging and sometimes unconventional hours. We had a wonderful time celebrating individual wins and shared achievements.

As I look back on the accomplishments of the past year, I am filled with gratitude and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead for 2024.
